I have a box that the item comes from the distrubtor and i am wanting to ship in via usps. I have never recieved an item from usps that wasnt shipped in a brown box or wrapped in brown paper. Can i just put the label on the box even if the box has a picture of the product and words on it? thanks.

The color of the box is not important to any of the major parcel delivery companies (FedEx, UPS, USPS).

Use of brown (or any color) paper wrapper is discouraged and even prohibitted for some carriers.

Just make sure you have clear address label and you should be good to go.

Scratch out any references to previous addresses or shipping bar codes.

yes the post office may accpect those type of package
but not fedex they dont allow them as lots of times that
paper wrapping has come off during shippment, and of Fedex wouldnt have anyway of knowing where to deliver the package
as the shipping label/address would have been on the wrapper

No, you can use any kind of box. I've shipped a shoe box.
Someone sent me something in a 12 pack coke box.

If it's secure and has an address label, I'm pretty sure they'll take it.
