I am making a riverboard. I need a sheet that is 48"+ by 24". I would like it to be as thick as possible 2" minimum, but I can always layer.

The lumber yard sells high density foam like the home depot, menards, lowes, or even your local lumber yard but here its expensive in Minnesota. Lowes has 4x8 by 2" for $28. Outch. My boss can get it from cemstone for $15 a sheet though when bought in bulk.

foam insulation sheets sold at home depot. they are sold in 4' x 8' sheets of varying thicknesses

all foam absorbs water. paint it with latex
