are people being genuinely nice and kind or are they just being nice hoping to get the "ten points" ?

During my short time on P&S I have found that the people here really enjoy having fun most of the time. I have witnessed that most everyone here cares and says really nice things to each other, from the heart.

some people just tell you to get a grip and others act sad for the points....i think that those that are genuine are kewl but there is no way to tell....you just have to hope they are being genuine and that the ones that tell you to get a grip you know are genuine so you kinda think, hey they aren't so bad! atleast they aren't decoys that just pretend to feel for ya for 10 points...but if it were me and i didn't think it was a reason to be sad i just don't answer and if i feel bad about the situation then i do...i mean you can only answer a certain amount in a day. i wish i were able to read people's thoughts but being you can't see facial expression etc. its all the more harder. just read the answers and see how thoughtful they seem.

Depends on who it is. You can count on Lalyn, Blue Faerie, Renee, Octacat, JoniB and Vliger Dragon for pure nice. The rest of us are questionable. If I think someone is just jonesing for sympathy, I'll either ignore the question or say something smartaleck. I've seen some answerers be downright mean.

i cant answer for the masses. i feel I'm being genuine and choose to think the best of others. therefore, they are being nice.

I think most people who say they are sad really are. I could care less what people think about my mood, so if I say I'm sad, it's true. And I am sad most of the time. But that's neither here nor there, as my dad would say.
