Well, for one ... stalking.

In the internet world, it could entail constantly checking their profiles on websites, keeping tabs on them, emailing them or messaging them too much or too often, etc.

In the real life world, taking trips past their house, job or school on a regular basis, asking about them, etc. Just in general keeping tabs.

Basically ... if you think you might be stalking someone, you probably are.

Well, I think what qualifies someone as a stalker, is if they are constantly harrassing another person, following them around and collection private information about them (i.e. address, phone number, e-mail address, previous residences, job, previous employment, etc.) that was not directly given to them. (Like searching on the internet or something.)

Taking pictures of someone else, that the other person does not know of, like hidden somewhere where the other cannot see, that's extremely stalkerish. Just basically harassing somebody excessively while doing various things that makes the other uncomfortable, or just secretly following or collecting unneccesary informaiton, that basically qualifies somebody as a stalker.

Hope that helped. =)

If they continue to contact you, follow you, wanna party with you, gotta call you, has to be around you, or makes trouble with the people that you hang with, then you got a stalker. Contact the authorities. Get a restraining order. I have to warn you that sometimes these restraining orders don't work. Here in Texas, you can have a restraining and the only way that anybody can get in trouble for disobeying one is if the bad guy actually does something bad in the presence of the police. They don't believe in any "he said-she said" bullsh#t. Protect yourself--physically and mentally. That, my Dear, is the name of the game. I've been there! Do what you need to do. Never be afraid to arm yourself. That sounds bad, but this is your life. Learn Karate or take shooting lessons. It's your choice.

They show up when you are at certain places, they follow you, tape record you, photograph you, film you, email you, etc. I know I have been stalked before, its not fun. I didn't even know he was doing this until I saw him at weird places, like the grocery store, mailboxes etc, wallmart. Call the police or a Private Investigator if you are unsure, but someone does not have the right to do that to people. You can get a restraining order and then if he keeps doing that he can be arrested for harrasment.

They judge your every move and don't leave you alone. It has to be someone personally though, not someone from the internet...I hate it when people are called "Yahoo! Answers stalkers" because there really is no such thing! All they can do is look at your q & a.

Lets make sure that your not getting the two mixed up. I had a Girlfriend a few years back that accuesed me of STALKING her. She could not tell the difference between love and stalking. Just because I wanted to know where she was and who she was dating did not mean that I was stalking her. It took her a few months to get used to it but I think she did.

If they constantly follow you everywhere you go. You turn and you can see someone staring at you. If they are outside your house seeing what you are doing, if you're home or not. If you tell them to stop and they still keep going by your house or wherever you may go.
