Yes... i called the Guatemalan Institute of Tourism and they inform me that Tikal National Park is opened all year around. It is better to go early in the morning.... the park usually closes at 4pm... but you can pay an evening fee to stay at the park. Dont forget your camera.... i was in Tikal 2 months ago... and its amazing....

Yes, in fact, i was there on my honeymoon with my Guatemalan wife. It's true, you can either stay there in one of two park hotels or camp out. Please do go on a dawn hike up to the top of temple 5 and you will see, if arriving early enough, the dawn over the junglr, fog, and monkeys carrousing throght the branches of the trees. Take some food and drink with you, it is allowed. Have fun by taking some of the less beaten trails. listen for howler monkeys, follow the sound, and look for them tealthfully hidden solitarily upon the highest branches in tall trees. Watch out! The spider monkeys may pee upon you!
