I went super cheap on prezzies, all along the homemade/homebaked line. Then I donated a couple hundred to a humanitarian charity in honour of my family and told them all this.
I spent the same amount I normally would, but did it a little more tastefully this year.

almost $2500. But I was buying for the last 6 months while I was deployed overseas on a ship, so we got extra money and pulled into a lot of good liberty ports. I still missed some people and had to buy things here in the states...oy.

$2,600.00 way too much!! The best part it was paid with CASH!!
no debt! Worked hard on saving for it!! I saved $218.00 every month to be able to spend without freaking out!!
