The processors are about the same price. How much better is one processor from the other and what can the better processor be compared to?

AMD all the way for gaming. If its for more office work/music or video studio, maybe the Core Duo but otherwise, AMD has not once failed me in the 4 AMD's I have bought, they all went above and beyond the call of duty.

Keep in mind, modern technology dont differ much from brand to brand. Maybe one uses better parts but from being a Computer Technician for 6 years, I love AMD.

Well man, I'm an AMD fan. All my PC's and Laptop use AMD processors and also I've use a lot Intel processors platforms. I know, by experience, that AMD is the best option in PC's. The X2 Core technology of AMD is the best on Multitasking, Multimedia, Price, Performance and Gaming and if you want more information visit the next link: http://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10442_7-6389077-1.html . I'm sure that all your doubts will be answered and you'll buy an AMD processor. By the way I've used the AMD X2 Core technology on a Laptop and it's amazing, this processors for Lap's are called AMD Turion 64 X2 Mobility Technology, and with a good graphic card, it's the best option that I've done.
