Your original manuscript is typically a full page. When and if you decide to send your book into publishing, they'll prompt you to change the settings to meet their standards. For now, just write your manuscript in 12 point standard font and then send it in to be edited. When the edited copy comes back, you'll be able make the necessary changes and adjust the formatting for a 2nd look and hopefully publication. Good luck!

Size 12 font, and 1" border around the entire thing. Each editor and publisher have different wants, but this is the generally the easiest.

the accepted standard for manuscripts is 12-point font (times new roman or courier) and a 1" margin. it's important not to use any special fonts (which includes bold or italics). if you're writing a persons thoughts the easiest way to make that known is to underline the text. same with titles.

Always use 12 font and always double space because they love to have room to write all over your work. Also, you should ask them for their submission standards.
