im already depressed that 1 week of the 3 is over. i had work to do over break anyway... and i have a final on Jan 13.... i feel like i cant have a vacation. i worked for 5 yrs between grad school and college so when i had a vacataion, it was truly a vacation...this? is like... a vacation with strings attached.

Life is a series of the same thing, then. Students dread going back to school after breaks, and "working folk" dread going back to work every Monday. Sometimes I wake up depressed on Sunday, just knowing I have to go back to work the next day. :-) I'm more positive and upbeat than this response sounds, but it is kind of weird when you think of it that way. We really do work hard, and for what? I'm so looking forward to retirement. I will live life the way it was intended... on the golf course every day. :-)

Don't view "vacation" in short-terms. View it as a long-term relaxation. Would you rather work hard for the next couple of years, get a good-paying job, and finally sit back for the rest of your life? The harder you work now, the faster and earlier you can retire, then enjoy the rest of your life. Don't think about a big "vacation" right now because if you want something more in the future, you have to work hard NOW. Trust me, it WILL PAY OFF in the long-run.

Only 3 weeks?? I have a little over a month off, I go back on Jan the 16th! I'm not really looking forward to it, but what can I do.... I'm sure not going to drop out. Just think, going to school is better than not going to school and not setting up a great life for yourself! Good luck with everything!!
P.S. Wish me luck, I have College Algebra this coming semester...YIKES!!

Change your perception, look at the positive side of things. At least you've got to meet with school friends again; you can be done with your final exams, and that you are still alive and well to worry about school. lol.

dont complain cause i only have 2 weeks of vacation TOTAL! and i have 2 work!
