I love culinary and I would love to learn how to cook different things and to know how to do pastry and things like that. I love to cook and I love to bake, but on the other hand I love messing with computers and the money isn't bad either. But should I do both or will it be a waste? How is culinary really like and the hours they work? What about computer maintenance? I don't know if culinary is something I just want to know how to do? Any advice will help

My suggestion is to let your head guide your heart to the right job. How? Interview 3-5 people who once worked in each field AND some who still work in each field. From those who ONCE worked there, you will learn cautions and better questions to ask yourself or plan to address the traps... From those who are CURRENTLY successful in their chosen field, you will learn and validate what you like, and sort out what you do not like. Try this:

What do or did you like best about your job?
What was most challenging about your job?
What would you advise someone wanting to enter your profession in order to be successful?
Who is the best of the best in your industry and what makes them so good?

I live near the RTP and there are a lot of IT people working at the grocery store. If you are good as as chef you will alway be in demand. People will alway want to eat out.
