Make sure your nail polish remover has acetone in it. As far as I know, acetone should take off the nails.

I had a horrible time taking mine off heres what to do: Cut them as short as you can; buy some pure acetone not nail polish remover PURE acetone and soak them for a long time at least half an hour then try to pry them off. Mine bled and my fingers were so sore and my natural nails were gross for a while. If you want the easier way the nail salon can do the same thing for you.

The best option to remove your nails if you had them put on at a salon or even at home is to visit a salon for proper removal. However, this may not be an option. The best way to remove your nails at home is to soak your fingers in acetone or acetone-containing nail polish remover for 15 minutes and then proceed to remove your nails gently from the cuticle up. You can use a clean fingernail file to do this. Be careful that you soak your nails long enough to loosen them and be careful when removing them. After removing them, consider soaking your nails in rubbing alcohol for 5-10 minutes to clean the nail bed area and don?t forget to apply lotion to your nails to keep the skin around your cuticle healthy.

Check the bottle of your nail polish remover to see if it says "non-Acetone". If so, then you will want to purchase an "Acetone" polish remover...this type is designed to cut through bonding agents so that the acrylic nail separates from the natural nail. Non-acetone polish remover is strictly for use on natural nails.

Acetone
I had the same problem after my graduation(2006), tried to get em off for weeks, but it was the acetone that did it. Just heat it up warm,(about 30 seconds) and soak your nails, also use a sharp nail filer to pick around the edges, and continue to heat it up everytime it gets cold. Works really well.
You can get a really big bottle at wal-mart for about 2 dollars. Or you can about 4 small bottles at any drug store.

I thought soaking in nail polish remover would help but it should come off when you soak it for a good amount of time. If not, then you should continue soaking it but don't try to take them off by force because you might pull off your natural nail with it.
Good luck.!

You have to soak them in pure acetone for at least 30 minutes. If you try pulling them off you will ruin your natural nail underneath. Trust me on this one, I have been there. You will need some type of orange wood or cuticle pusher stick to scrape the acrylic off. I would suggest having it done by a professional. If you can't wait then good luck.
