I have been hearing about a lot of deaths on the news lately and they seem just to be happening in my state does your state have a lot of deaths?

Louisiana and Maryland tied for highest rate with 9.9 murders per 100,000 in 2005, before then Louisiana had more. North Dakota lad least with 1.1 per 100,000 people. Your local news probably mostly shows the murders in your area.

Although Washington DC is not a state.
it has the highest murder rate by far.
way above and beyond Maryland and Lousiana.
The strange thing about that is it has some of the strictest gun control laws in the country.

California has a lot of murders...they are pretty popular for that, i think that any state that has big cities is gonna see that sort of thing....unfortunately

Homocide& Violent crime in general has decreased in many major cities as per FBI statistics show if you believe them.....my town (Cleveland,OH.) has shown a marked increase in HOMOCIDES.
