My husband has been in Iraq for 12 months now.. I've learned that prayer seems to help the most. Others have other ways of dealing with it.. What are the ways that you cope with your spouse being in Iraq?

Were not married but will marry when he returns. He has been in Afghanistan for almost two months now. When he first left it sucked big time. I have my family and mainly my sister to help me get thru this, and a lot of prayer. The only thing that I can say is think positive, everything will be okay, that is what I keep telling myself. I'm also going back to school to keep my mind busy and to help pass the time. The main thing is to just keep yourself busy. I hope that this helps a little bit. Even though I don't know you I will put you two in my prayers tonight.

Ask President Bush and all the politicians and media who supported the war in Iraq - they dont have a single family member in Iraq so they can relax and let the money roll in!

I do not have a family member in Iraq but I can imagine how hard it must be. Missing your spouse and worrying about them and their safety. Try to have faith in God and keep praying! What courage they must have to have each and every day. I wish you and your spouse much happiness upon return to the states. Good Luck and may God be with you both.

I don't have one in Iraq but I wanted to say my heart goes out to all of you whose spouses are in Iraq. I don't think people realize just how difficult it can be for you here, day by day....hopefully there are support groups for you.
