Yes. There was a very large community of Jews in Italy until Hitler sent political and military types in to help out Mousolini. The truly ironic part is that until the Nazis showed up, many MANY Jews were supporters of Mousolini and he and his government did their best to protect Jews from the Nazis. In the end, the Nazi government types made up impossible demands of the Jews and they ended up being sent north to meet the same fate as those Jews in northern Europe.

Yes, there are such things as Italian Jews. In fact:
1)I went to school with a guy who was of Italian & Jewish.
2)My cousin, who is of Italian descent, is Jewish (as are others in both my family & my wife's family).
Italian is a nationality.
Jewish is a religion.
They are not mutually exclusive.

Of course, Judaism is a religion, so just as there are black Jews there are Jews in Italy.

Yeah imsure their are. You've suprised to know there are Mexican Jews also Argentinian Jews. Since Italy is in Europe I wouldnt doubt it.

yes. If you see the movies Life is beautiful, and The Garden of the Finzi Continis, it is about italian jews.

Probably. I know of some Irish Jews, and that's pretty unusual. I guess it depends on inter-cultural marriage and if anyone converts. Thats what happened in my family.

The short answer is yes. being Jewish is not a nationality as mush as it is a line of decent. That would be like asking americans if it is possible they have relatives in Europe, Africa or Asia
