I know it's nice and keeps feelings from being hurt, but whatever happened to being real? If people don't realize their problems or whatever, how can they be fixed?

Why are elderly people the only ones that can say what they feel? Sort of, what comes up comes out.

The political correct syndrome is the result of the media don't it locks people into the matrix, thee afraid to offend anybody so they say nothing about anything, and that's how evil prevails, when good people do or say nothing!

It is something that is pushed on us by the media and society in general. However, I see nothing wrong with it. You don't know how a racial slur could hurt someone. As far as the elderly go, they grew up in an era when political incorrectness was the accepted norm.

I think its because of the government's influence on people's lives through institutions such as schools and public television. Government is all about politics so its no surprise that they are the main source of political correctness.

with age comes wisdom, so the wisest are allowed to express themselves.. people try to be politically correct so that they fit in, and no one sees them as doing something wrong.. kind of like the "jump on the band wagon" syndrome.. many double standards everywhere.. just some we notice more than others.. and if you think about it.. politics in itself isn't all that "correct"...=P

could you define-- Why do so many people try to be "politically correct"?
most people can't or they confuse what they really mean.
