When I bought my computer, it came with a rather small hard drive that is filled up with numerous programs I’ve installed. However, I store most files on, or in folders on my desktop. I recently bought a much larger hard drive and installed it, and I was wondering if there was any way store the desktop on my new hard drive. Any help would be appreciated.

You can upgrade your PC with new hard drive with higher memory. Also examine the feasibility of increasing the RAM capacity, which depends on the motherboard configuration.I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems.
Some RAM/hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful. Try this site, if you can get what is required.

The desktop is part of your original hard drive. When you installed the new one you should have just switched all the information from the main one to the new one making the new one your main one. Check out your documentation for more help.
