There are some interesting compounding effects with emotions and other stuff in the world.
Failures can increase the chance for more failures based on the previous failures, success builds on success, the rich get richer and the poor get poorer... the world has a strange tendency to compound previous causes in a self-reinforcing cycle. The good news is that love can build on love... so there's hope. Small positive or negative actions can breed large-scale stuff; maybe that's the definition of karma. If the self-reinforcing cycle is broken, things can change, but it usually takes a bunch of effort to break it and build a new cycle in a different direction.

Yup, and it hurts the person that feels it, the most. As Mahatma Gandhi said, " An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind."
He also observed, "When I despair, I remember that all through history the ways of truth and love have always won. There have been tyrants, and murderers, and for a time they can seem invincible, but in the end they always fall.
Think of it - always."

I think so. When people are around each other, someone's attitude tends to wear off on the others. They speak about hatred, and others tend to hate as well :\

Why do you think wars exist!? You give him a slap, he gives you a blow, you give him a blow , he stabs you in the arm, you finish it with a bullet in his heart!
(All participants were merely actors during this violent scene and nobody actually got harmed : it was just ketchup.)
