Google Web Accelerator doesn't exactly improve the connection speed--100 Mbps is still 100 Mbps--but it does save you some time when you're browsing the Internet. It's a free download, so I don't see the harm in giving it a shot.

No, there's really nothing you can do to speed up your internet access. It's controlled by your ISP. The slowest network cards are 10 mbps -- typically twice as fast as a typical cable connection. Most network cards today are 100 mbps, far faster than your cable modem will be for many years to come.

Hey..As said by others...U cannot control the internet speed.What you can do is update your hardware.You can download some free softwares like WebAccelator,DAP & many others, for improving the download speed.

It's sometimes possible to tweak your computer's TCP/IP settings to speed up Internet access. There are tools to measure throughput and suggest tweaks. Just keep notes on what you change and change it back if it doesn't help.

i think what you need is a faster internet card. some older ones can really slow you down.
