First of all, the prostate gland in men is a special organ that give the semen the protein and the energy for the sperms to survive more time. This does not indicate its feritlity, the fertility of the sperms depends in the person's testes, there are certain days were the testes are healthy and are capable of fertilisation, sometimes not. The only way u can determine wether a person is fertile or not is by having a medical test. The doctor will take semen samples and he will predict which day the sperm cell will be fertile. A large prostate does not mean the semen is infertile, a large prostate gland can be more efficient because the more energy a sperm cell has, the more time it can live in the womb to fertiles the egg cell...

While an enlarged prostate can be a problem for some men it does not have any affect on most. Sure it can be sign of prostate cancer but it is more likely to be nothing more than a prostate that is bigger than normal. Possibly the only problem an otherwise healthy yet enlarged prostate can cause is some difficulty when urinating in that it might constrict the urethra where it departs the bladder.
As for affecting sperm counts, that is highly unlikely so keep up the birth control until you are advised otherwise.

The prostate is one of the main organs of the male reproductive system. This organ is vital for the male sex organs to develop normally.
In adult men, the prostate acts mainly to add important fluids to the semen that nourish sperm and protect them against the natural acids in the vagina. In many men, the prostate begins to grow when they are in their 50s, and it may continue to grow for the rest of their lives. An enlarged prostate is usually an “enlarging prostate” for most men over age 50, which means that if your prostate has started to grow, it may continue to grow.
As the prostate grows, it puts pressure on the urethra—the tube that carries urine and semen out of the body. This increasing pressure on the urethra can lead to bothersome urinary symptoms and future problems such as surgery on your prostate.
This condition is known as Enlarging Prostate, or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Although prostate cancer can also cause the prostate to grow, Enlarging Prostate is not a cancerous condition—it is not the same as prostate cancer, and it does not lead to cancer.
Enlarging Prostate is not life threatening, but you and your doctor need to keep an eye on it so that it does not get worse.
doesnt affect fertility

I do not believe this is related to infertility. In fact I know of a person who had children after he was diagnosed with an enlarged prostate.

the main function of the prostate gland is to provide a vehicle for the sperm to move in once ejacualted (either into the vagina or elsewhere)...it is not involved in fertility...enlarged prostates are usually benign, and prostatic cancer is unusual in the 555 and under age group.
the amount of semen ejaculated is variable with the frequency of ejaculation...if you are used to havaing sex once a day, and you go without a day or two, you have the extra DSB...if you do it several times in one day to catch up, then there might be no DSB

No, he's not infertile just because his prostate is enlarged. But there can be other health problems - most commonly he might have to pee a lot, which will get worse with age.

The prostate supplies fluid for the sperm. The sperm are from the testes. There is no relation between the size of the prostate and fertility.

Congratulations!!!!! That means that your bedroom mate is a perfect guy and there's no need for you to be afraid. Your genes will multiply with that kind of prostate gland. Don't prevent him to make love with you. Or else, he will have prostate cancer if he will not release his semen.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!!

it depends on the condition. sometimes the man is not fertile. but most of the time, it is okay to have sex and there is a likely chance to get pregnant. id consult a doctor. but my guess is if he does not have any other problems with his prostate that he should be fertile.

The prostate is not involved with fertility, that would be the testes, aka the balls, have fun and wear a condom, unless you want kids lol
