Anyone know how to keep pad laces from tearing near the toe?

The laces that tie the pads to the skates keep fraying and ripping. I think it's from the inside of the skate blade, but I'm not sure. Anyone have experience with this?

I also use skate laces, it could also be the way you are tying them, mine don't touch the blade at all

The easiest way is to replace them with hockey laces. The ones that come stock on most pads don't hold well and tear pretty easily. Skate laces won't.
