Of course I mean, if the child wasn't yours, biologically.

My cousin did it and I think its so sweet, but I don't think I'm ready to go into the dating world for years.

My best friend started dating he rnow boyfriend while she was pregnant. They now live together, and he takes care of her son like his own. He has 3 children from a previous marriage also.

I think it can work out, but there aren't that many good men willing to hang in there. So I definitely applaud men who are able to look past things like that. The only problem I see at all, is in my best friends case, she has gotten somewhat lazy since she had her son, and REALLY pushes alot of the work of taking care of the baby on to her boyfriend. He also works full-time, and she stays home. I just think that if you do find a good man willing to raise your child like his own, it's nice not to force ALL of the hard work on him. It's pretty generous of him anyways.

You should get back into the dating world whenever it's the right time for you. Good luck!

I had a one night stand and got pregnant a week before me and my boyfriend started dating. I knew he truly loved me when he said that he wanted to be the father of my baby after we were together for only a month and a half. I had a miscarriage a few days after that. It meant a lot to me to know that he wanted to take responsibility for a life he didn't help create. That was about four years ago. We're expecting our first child sometime in June and couldn't be happier.

I had a friend that dated a girl that was pregnant...and it wasn't his. Of course, by the end of the pregnancy, he pretty much claimed it as his. I think it takes a strong person to do something like that, to step in like that. Some people, of course, talked about them all the time, but that is going to happen.

my ex did. Not sure if i would classify his actions as sweet however, he is one of those guys that preys on the poor unfortunate girl that seems lost in the world. Not saying that all pregnant single females are like that, but this particular one was and is. It was his way of finding someone else to abuse.

Yes I know a lot of people who have and I think it is great that people are mature enough to look past that and support one another. As for me I would feel to much like a whale and preoccupied with baby to be interested in having a new relationship.

Nope. Turn and run in the other direction and as far away and as fast as possible. Too much baggage. Complications will arise.
