I personally like their music, but some people say it's either a band of "stupid hicks" or they have no talent. So what's you people's opinion?

Barenaked Ladies are an amazing band with a lot of wisdom, multi-layered themes, and humor. They have great sound, great people, and great fans.

OH MY GOD!! they are the best! they are amazingly witty, although i think that you would have to very carefully listen to the lyrics to get all of the jokes, puns and humor. They are so much more than their "Radio" songs like One Week. If you are on the fence about them, go see them in concert. It will be the funnest concert you have ever been too! They love their fans and put on a great great show. If you want some deeper stuff, check out one of the lead singers (Steven Paige)'s solo album. It is called The Vanity Project and it is amazing!

Anyone who says Barenaked Ladies are "hicks" are the stupid ones. I personally enjoy their music, it's very entertaining. They are far from being hicks though. They might not be the best singers in the world, but they are comical.

Their music gets boring very quickly. They have talent, the talent to write tunes that all sound exactly the same, in the same meter and rarely if ever change tempo or mode . Of course I'd say the same thing about country music, I don't hate it, it just bores me to death.

They have been solid over the previous decade, I liked their sound. Steven web site left the band, besides the undeniable fact that, and that i felt that he grow to be a considerable factor in how their song sounded. i'm hoping their new stuff is as unique as their old hits.

I believe that they're a fantastic group put together with layers of hiden talent and underlying themes that only the true fans can find and appreciate.

No!!!! They are an awesome rock band from Canada! I really love them! They have catchy pop-rock tunes, as well as some goofier songs! My favorites are "Brian Wilson" and "The Old Apartment".
