How much ambition do you have?
Pastry chef could lead to owning your own business - restaurant or bakery.
Computer maintenance could lead to becoming a systems or network admin.
In either case, you have to work hard and be willing to learn new things. You have to go above and beyond the requirements of your job.
If you don't have ambition then neither path is very good. Chefs who don't constantly learn new recipes and techniques end-up being just a step above busboys and dishwashers on the pay scale. Computer techs that don't work hard end-up being the modern equivalent of a small appliance repair person.

I can't believe you are overlooking "Circus Clown". Pastry Chef or computer maintenance? Why not auto mechanic or accountant? What are YOU interested in? It make little difference what WE think... don't you think? Go for YOUR goal not suggestions made by whackos like me!

I think you need to ask yourself which one you want to do. They are polar opposites, so what will make you happy? I can tell you that you will probably have an easier time finding work that pays decently in computer maintenance.

That depends on your interests; money wise you could earn the same in either field. - depends on how far you'd go in the field.
