I would appreciate any advise from anyone in Denver or with experience in Denver travel. I am scheduled to fly in tomorrow night around 11pm but with this storm they are having I am questioning the trip. Even if the airport lets flights in, what can I expect as far as roads, etc...
I am staying in downtown Denver, which is about 25-30 miles away. I am picturing a long, slow, expensive cab ride.
Thats if the airport is even open.
My flight and hotel are refundable. Should I get out now?
Thanks for the advise.

Cancel ! (if you can) You might end up spending your entire time at the airport or at least several hours. Once you get here you'll probably be stuck in the hotel anyway. Roads are bad. An awful lot of things are closed ( including cities).Grocery stores are low on food.
It is suppose to snow until Sunday. If we get all the snow that's expected , it will be the biggest snow storm in 93 years. Come on one of our many sunny days!
Stay warm and mobile were you're at !!! Or do as LauraE says and go to Cancun, take me with you, I've had enough of this snow !

5-7 inches tonight, about a foot throughout the day on Friday and then a little more on Saturday. The long slow Cab ride is probably what would happen if you did fly in or you could take the bus system to at least downtown and catch a ride from there to your hotel. I'm not sure how they're operating but I'll give you the website. Look under Skyride and it's bus AF. It costs anywhere from $6.00 to $10.00.

I'd say if you want to go ahead and come out, Just besure you call your Airline and the RTD people before you make any final decission. It'll all be done by Sunday morning.

You'll be fine. Your flight should be okay--if delayed--but you should arrive safely at DIA. The roads will be an absolute mess and the cabride should cost you about $40 dollars taking about 30-45 minutes. You can take the local transit agency's (RTD) SkyRide which will take you right downtown. It's about 5 or 6 dollars and it takes you right downtown. It takes maybe 45 minutes or so. Go to www.rtd-denver.com. You can check the schedules and fares online or do a "trip planner." Check the AF bus schedule which goes from DIA all the way to Lakewood (where I live). It stops in the main station downtown. Most downtown hotels are about a mile or so within distance of the station (Market Street Station).

Just bring a coat and a smile (and a few shovels if you have them--Denver's running out) and you'll be okay.

Good luck

They're expecting 2-4 inches of snow tonight, 10-12 inches tomorrow and then another 2-4 inches on Saturday. I would honestly suggest cancelling the flight and hotel before it's too late. There's a good chance that even if you're able to there you won't be able to get back. They're calling for people to put chains on their tires because of the road conditions.

I would get out while you can. It looks like the storm is going to be as bad, or potentially worse than last week. They cancelled flights for this afternoon and tonight and most likely will tomorrow as well. Even if you could get in you might get stuck at the airport. It's better to be safe than sorry, and if your tickets are refundable I would just go ahead and change your plans.

I live just 40 minutes from the airport, and we are getting major snow here. 10 inches in about 4 hours. The highways are closed. The roads are a mess.... and it's supposed to get worse tomorrow. I would take the refund.... and go to Cancun!

Tomorrow night is uncertain at this point. But they say we may get another foot of snow then. Right now I'd guess your flight is no better than a 50-50 chance to fly in.
