actually, no one thought giant squids were real until recently. now they say they are abundant and grow to 60 feet in length. there were a lot of mermaid sightings on an island off of Spain(i think it was Spain). but that was about 300 years ago. they were not the kind of mermaids like in splash. they were more fish-like and about 4 feet in length. their hair was made of something more resembling the whiskers of a catfish. often the y were seen sunbathing on large rocks. so yes i believe they did and may still exist.

Yes, they are. They are an old race and have been reported seen in many parts of the world. They are not Sea Cows or Walruses.

Yeah, they're called manatees and are found in water off florida. As far as half human/half fish, no, they are only a myth made up by lonely sailors, half blind from sea glare and malnutrition.

They are only a part of sailor mythology. I wish they were real...I feel in love with Madison (Darryl Hannah) in the movie "Splash". I would love to meet Darryl in real life.

Having an open mind is a good thing. What you should ask is can anyone prove they do not exist. They can't the lack of evidence can neither prove nor disprove the existence of a thing.

no, think these were made up stories by those sailors who were longing but had no chance during the long voyages at sea
