Just give it a little time to heal. Patience will go a long way with a new piercing and not having to get it redone when you screw this one up. You can cause infection if you change it too early, you can have trouble getting the new earring in and lose the hole, you can cause scar tissue to form where the hole is, you can greatly increase the amount of time it takes for it to heal... and on and on. 6-8 weeks is not a lifetime. Be patient!

You have to wait for the skin to grow and form a "tunnel" that the stud part of earrings can go through. If you try to change it now, you most like will not be able to find the way from the hole in the front of your lobe, to the hole going out the back. If you can't get a stud back in, it will close up (some people's close quicker than others).
If you lightly pinch your earlobe and kind of squeeze and rub, you will feel how the front and back can move independently ... you'd have to be able to get the new earring to find it's way through both layers ... trust me, not easy

The point of retaining the original piercing (surgical steel in most cases) is to one prevent infection, and two to allow the scar tissue abound the ear hole to heal.
The points being - avoiding infection which will ruin the piercing, and insuring that the hole is (relatively) permanent.
I've made the mistake of changing earrings early - and the result was an infection that was on and off for several years... not so cool.

First, the salt (saline) answer isn't a foul thought to apply anyhow, so use it in case you will come across it. 2d, Dial cleansing soap is antibiotic, so shop utilising that and not alcohol!!! The dryness is not any enormous deal so do no longer agonize over it please. some human beings heal speedier than others do. If the piercing continues to be crimson and dry in a week, in basic terms await some extra days. extra constructive to be risk-free and soreness unfastened than sorry!! See how your piercing feels in some days till now pulling it out and changing it over on your new one. Soak the recent one for approximately an hour and a 0.5 in rather warm salt water answer to sterilize it and wash your palms with the Dial till now changing it out. If the hollow hurts in any respect as you're pulling the threaded(the tip with the screw lines) area out, quit!!! it is not waiting yet! supply it some antibiotic topical ointment to assist avert a flare-up of an infection and wait a sprint longer till now attempting to alter it out returned. finding on the steel(surgical chrome steel or titanium alloy), the hollow could additionally heal at a various fee too. whilst your all healed and you have replaced it out on your new one, go out and characteristic a evening on the city!!!

It has a greater chance of getting infected. It also might not have time to heal completely just yet.
That's about the worst that could happen.
If the person who you got the piercing from gave you a time frame, then go with that. 2 days is not long enuff.
Patience :)

Wait a week at least.
When I first got my ears pierced, for some reason I took them out (don't remember anymore as it was 18 years ago) and when I went to put them back in it was HARD and PAINFUL.

if u take the studs out ur ear can get infected and after a while the hole can close up. you need to keep it in for at least 6 weeks after you get ur ears pierced.

wait a lil while. AT least a week
you can irritate the area, cause an infection etc.
and if you MUST do it NOW, then make sure you clean your lobe AND the new earing
ps. if the new ones are real gold/silver i honestly c no harm
but if there not, then i suggest you wait

casue your body has to adjust to a foriegn object being placed into it. you also dont know how your body is going to adjust to the differant types of metals that you may like to put in your ears, lastly as with any wound (whichi s what it essentially is) it is a cesspool for bacteria and you run the risk of a serious infection if you change them before they are healed
