is it okay to get your lip pierced if you have braces on? i want to do it this summer but i'll still be a metal-mouth. thanks!

Thats probably too much metal going on around your mouth, i would wait until you get your braces off.

well no mater what i don't lnow if anyone can curve your desire for a lip peircing.. but i advise that you wait till you get your braces off because you may not want an extra hole in your mouth (i know i sound like a mom)
or if you want to do it anyway you should check and see if the peircing parlor even will pierce you with braces on.. i know you can't have your tongue pierced with braces

It could seriously mess with your braces. Or it may not. I have my lip done, but never had braces. I suggest, for the healing of the piercing and the straighting of your teeth, just wait.

well, first check if your parents approve and stuff then think it over...not many people in your position would do it because the dentists may get annoyed or other people just may not like it and give you dirty looks. my advice: don't get your lip pierced; if you want to get another piercing, it would be a better idea to go for a second hole on the ear or something

I don't think thats a good idea. If it gets caught on the archwire or a bracket it could rip it off. Also your orthodontist will most likely have you take it out and lecture you about it. I'd recommend waiting until your braces are off.

would not do it lip pierceing hurts and ur earing will get stuck to braces

do not get your lip pierced I think it looks dumb and I would not like to kiss anyone who has a pierced lip.

if u dont get a metal piercing it wont look bad...get it plastic and colored and u wont look like a metal-mouth

only if you lick your lips and 'tongue' your metal piercing while you show all the metal on your teeth in a big green and say, 'god this is sooo sweeeet'.
