I would like to know the pay scales and retirement policies for teachers (primary and secondary) in Las Vegas and the surrounding school districts.

Unfortunately, the Clark County School District is in dire need of educators, but does not compensate well. I teach in Long Beach and would have to take a 10K pay cut if I was teaching there. I do not have information for any surrounding districts, but I do know that Clark County is rather large and has almost 300 schools, thereby governing the greater Las Vegas area and vicinity when it comes to education. It is also the fifth largest district in America and the fastest frowing district. Good luck in making your decision.
