I don't know if we should exactly step down to their level, but somethings gotta give.
And Legs wide open babe....I think thats your name, the one who qouted Leviticus, maybe you should quit going to church on Sunday, and then spitting out hate and hypocrisy throughout the other 6 days of the week, then asking for forgiveness that next Sunday. I am a former youth pastor, and gay. I still hold the powers in the State of Illinois (marry, bury, etc) and I have been to alot of seminars etc to know that Leviticus is for Israelites...in case you haven't noticed we aren't Israelites, even if we were your taking it out of context, the bible isn't a buffet where you find the scriptures that you can throw at everyone. Stop taking it out of context period, and stop talking about it in the LGBT section where even unchristian gay & lesbians know the difference, not only does that make you and the other Sunday to Monday morning christians look really stupid but....its really old.
Sorry you've failed again - The ten commandments have nothing to do with being gay or lesbian, of course now days it says homosexuality cause your men wrote it in, and who can't say so far that the whole da** book isn't written by man? The NEW KJV, NEW NIV, Revised, the true athentic book says nothing about homosexuality use your freaking mind here. And for your information, all my youth still hang out with me to this day, some of them have just left the church cause they got tired of people like you, unlike you they know the difference between right & wrong and all of them except 1 is straight, the other one came out before I did....so I guess that debunks both your 10 commandments and your corruption statement, sorry maybe you need to rethink this whole god thing, cause so far....your not doing so well.

I do believe that part of the twelve step programs is admitting that you are wrong. That is something a bigot never admits. How about just shooting a blast of fresh air into their brains to replace the bombast that's in there. It would be cheap and a possible improvement.

There is no cure for bigotry. Reformation requires an open mind. Unfortunately most bigots are so intrigued with the sound of their own voices that no other can be heard. I've found bigots so fixated on their own mind sets that even upon hearing informed opinions to the contrary they are simply internally forming their next sentence based on their own beliefs. I avoid bigots and have no patience with those who refuse to consider outside opinions.
Frankly, you love who you love. It's as simple as that.

" Legolas' Babe "..........for one, we are not "mocking God". No, God didn't 'make' us this way....we were BORN this way. Wether or not, YOU choose to believe that everyone wasn't 'born from God', is entirely up to you....but NOT up to everyone else ! Oh and the bible.... "who" wrote that ?!? MEN...not God. So when all you people figure out that you're beliefs are circling around mere 'men'.... then you can talk. But all of you 'believers' need to quit shoving this God "stuff" down our throats. ( " Footnotes
1 [6-18] These laws are formulated as directed to the male Israelites only." ... this is what is said, under the Leviticus 18:22 that she mentions above.
As far as the 'step program'..... maybe something like that wouldn't be such a bad idea ! Show them "the light" ! ; )

Unfortunately it probably wouldn't take. Alcoholics that are "forced" into the 12 step program generally don't succeed either. I think maybe an operation involving an attitude transplant would be much more effective. l:O

No but people who, even jokingly, advocate giving the govt even one more scintilla of power over us and the way we think, ought to go to a 12 STep Program to teach them to be freedom loving Americans.

Actually, I think they should be all executed. We're over populated, and people like that don't deserve to live. Not that they're the only ones though. But still.
By the way dude, people will take a lot of sh*t seriously that shouldn't. Even I thought you were being serious. Some are naive like that.

It's a great idea, but it would never work. These people like being bigots and don't want to change.

No. We keep telling 'em it's wrong to force their strange beliefs on others, so in a way it would be hypocritical of us to go around preaching acceptance. It would be great to rid homophobia, but it just ain't happening.

Are you seriously suggesting that the only people who should be allowed freedom of speech and freedom of religion are the people that agree with you?
I thought that our freedoms meant we are free to have whatever small-minded and irrational beliefs we want to have.
If you want to claim the right to deny that freedom to one group, beware that someone else might be thinking of doing the same to you.
There is no "right" not to be offended by another person's beliefs.
