Ok you need to audition for one. It took me 8 months to get an agent and manager and book a skechers commercials. Alot of agents will be looking for people to represent since its pilot season (auditions and castings for upcomming shows for the summer and fall).
You need training alot of people get this fantasy that you can become an actor without training but even if your naturally that good and you haven't gooton training casting directors producers and agents wouldn't even take one look at your headshot and resume. Get started at www.proscout.com (it will get you auditioning) NEVER GIVE UP it takes forever to get started in this industry!

1). You have to be making at least 10K a year now without an agent

2). You need a good resume

3). You need a head shot, black and white 8 x10.

4). It helps to be SAG/AFTRA/EQUITY eligable

5). Pay $5 and get the SAG franchised agent list.

I know this! First, research agents and contact them. Either send them your resume and cover letter attached saying I would like for __________Agency to represent me, so please consider.
Send head shot/ comp card included if you have one.

Also, if you are in a Union, they will manage your money you're supposed to receive.
Also, if you're looking for a last minute agent, check FamousFaces.
