I could tell the ones who didn't like kids. So I usually didn't like those teachers - they were always irritated. I can picture the ones in my mind who really enjoyed us - I wanted to be around them the most. I didn't like the teachers who took themselves too seriously. We were just kids.

For the most part I had pretty good teachers. I went to both Public and Catholic schools over the course of my schooling.

I did have one teacher in the 7th grade that I did not like. She was a nun...she was older and had a yard stick. She did not like Lefty's. So I was her number 1 worse enemy. The yard stick seemed long enough to reach the chalk board when I was writing on it for dictation. She would have me put my left hand on the chalk ledge and wack me along the knuckles. I remember my mom spoke to her after seeing my hands bruised and bleeding and it just got worse. The nun would tell me that my mom wouldn't always be around to fight my battles. Thankfully I just had her for a few subjects and wasn't my regular teacher.

I lucked out in the 8th grade, I got a wonderful teacher. She too was a nun....but very opposite of the 7th grade nun from H-E-double hockey stick (LL). She was kind and nurturing..older..much older....but made a difference in my life.

I liked pretty much all of my teachers that I ever had. There was this one woman I had in 2nd grade. She wouldn't let us do anything!!! The other 2nd grade teacher threw a party for her class every Friday. But my teacher wouldn't let us even bring cupcakes on our birthday. She always had a frown on her face. ALWAYS!!!! I hardly talked to her the whole year!!! I think she thought I only knew sign language!

Well for highschool they seemed to be more into punishing the students for things like being late or talking too loud, then actually about teaching. I found that really annoying. And for college I had a teacher that was allways late and let us go home early. Which is not what I'm paying for!

I had several that hated kids, I swear! They acted like they did not want to be there. They surely did not want you to ask questions. And, if they were in a bad mood that day...look out! I had one teacher in particular, in 7th grade Social Studies. No one had ever seen her with anything other than a scowl on her face. She looked mean, sounded mean, and acted mean. She used to hit the meter stick on her desk to get everyone's attention. I hated that class. But, I have to say that I have had some excellent teachers, too. They made up for the trauma she caused!!!!!

The ones who made me answer questions aloud. Even though they knew that I was shy. Also, the teachers who gave too much homework. Not like I hated homework or anything. But, I didn't learn anything less in the classes where the teachers gave not so much homework.

The teachers who abused their power of authority were the worst.
My 5th grade teacher (at a Catholic school) told my best friend that Jesus could never love such a wicked child like her. She also loved to tease me about my grief in front of others when my dog died.
My second and seventh grade teachers (same school) loved humiliating the shy and sensitive kids.

i had a teacher in the 4th grade that had had half my family before me, he had my mom, my brother, 4 or 5 of my cousins, some uncles and a few aunts, he hated both sides of my family meaning my Dads side and my Moms side/ therefore he hated me,

the first day of school he pointed me out and demanded to know who i was, the next day he moved a desk right in front of his desk and made me sit there every day so he could keep an eye on me

i wrote a paper in college called "The Math Teacher From Hell" and i got a 99 on it,

Favoritism.
Some teachers would obviously have favorites and although I was the perfect, quiet little student, some didn't like me. It made me kind of upset.
