the first time i pluged it in when i first got it it worked. but the second time i plugged it in the problem occured.

I own a zune...love it..
You need to reinstall the zune software from scratch, update it. Then plug your zune in. Let me know your results.
I have music videos and movies on my Zune. All my CDs are on the Zune and it sounds great. Just as good as an IPod and BTW I own an Ipod........

I am sorry for you, but you get what you get. You bought a Chevy and expected an Aston Martin. I'm assuming microsoft.com has troubleshooting tips, but your best bet would be to return it for a full refund and buy an iPod.
