Okay, Magime. Look at it this way: Love is either viewed as the best feeling ever, or is bad-mouthed like none other. How often does one here a neutral point of view on this topic?

Maybe if you look at it from the perspective of the TYPE of love. . .passionate love is more prone to what you are thinking of. .. just my opinion ;)
But Motherly love or familial love is different. . .more constant in the tone or type. At least in my experience.

Ultimately Love is indivisible, although we did find a tiny spot called planet Earth where division happen for our amusement...Dichotomy and recognition of it exist in our minds , nowhere else, amplified with ongoing divisions of two seemingly opposite streams of energy.Instead to unify broken pieces we continuously accepting one and denying another polarity or vise versa...for we do not know any other way to exist...No , Love itself is not an ultimate dichotomy...LOVE is ultimate. Dichotomy seems to be an ultimate for us only and as a reflection , it spreads in external environment...Dominion over animal kingdom reflected back our beliefs in form of cruelty..All of it and more creates confusing belief that love has two sides...It is not, but love constitutes countless of its details which is sided...So ultimately we are roaming in its details , observing good and bad and making "ultimate" definitions which is far of being ultimate...

It doesn't have to be. Those that don't have it want it and those that do want more. Just be content within your own-self and for what you do have. One of the keys to remaining content in your relationships is not losing your own self identity and interests. It's usually when those things are compromised that one starts thinking of stepping away from their own personal boundaries, taking risks they normally wouldn't take, and to escape and get back that sense of freedom. Don't deny who you are and what pleases you from the get go and there should be no need to cross over that line.

Whatever the word dichotomy means....Love can be described as an emotion, nothing else. There is no logic answer what the emotion, love, is and if "it" is the ulimate key in life. Love is another word for "desire" and whatever you desire, may be what you call love.
