Rather than look for inspiration try and find an interesting perspective...
For example ask yourself questions like, how would a raindrop see the world?

this may sound really strange but when i was in high school i took art all 4 years. (the last 2 years I took 2 classes a day). my teacher gave a homework assignment that was do at the beginning of class every Friday. one week during my junior (possibly senior) year the assignment was a drawing of our choice as opposed to having to draw something specific. (for ex. a still life, self-portrait, etc.)
i was completely stumped and my muse had left me. then one night i was sitting my bedroom with stetch pad in my lap and a pencil in my hand trying to figure out what to draw. i looked straight ahead and because i was sitting on the ground the first thing i saw was my foot.
i studied it for about 30-45 mins and next thing i knew the pencil was going across the page and i was drawing my foot. being careful to capture every detail on my foot and every wrinkle on my pant leg. turned out pretty good too (i mean heck i got an "a" for the assignment and my teacher was really impressed)
a couple years later i was laid up in bed with a sprained ankle, it hurt like the dickens and i was bored out of my mind. luckily my paint set was sitting next to me so i took some paper and painted a picture of my foot.
i've done several now, and can actually draw feet from my head, my point is sometimes inspiration is staring you right in the face and you don't notice it.
just look around and find something that you think looks interesting but would be difficult to draw/paint and give it a go.

First off good that you do sound positive about yourself......I think we all need to be inspired about what we do with our lives. Perhaps try to put yourself into the mood. What is you want to draw first of all or does it matter. If it doesn't matter then close your eyes and create your vision on the canvas!! If you want to specifically draw something then as I would do is try to picture myself there.
I have a stressful job and I like to go to my "Happy Place" as I say which is my beautiful deck at the cabin looking out at the lake watching the loons swim by. It does inspire me to become calm. I hope this helps a little bit. Good Luck to you!!

I draw with the kiddo to get ideas. Their imaginations run so wild that there is always inspiration to be found. If that doesn't work, I just draw something I see. And if that doesn't work, I draw whatever comes into my head, object after object, connecting them into one sketch.

What inspires ME to draw? (please, it's my perspective)
Well I get inspired when I feel very bored and I want to see how well I can draw an apple so I start to draw.
Think about the texture and every little detail, and if you put painstaking effort towards it, you'll get a good sketch or drawing.

If your looking to be inspired look where you'd least expect or a place you hate to go. you cant find inspiration it has to just pop right in front of your face that way it becomes inspiring and a fun "hobby".

here's some inspiration...
an angel chained to a rock, wings spread, back arched, trying desperately to fly to the heavens of golden light raining down on her. ankles bloody. dead disemboweled men at her feet. a tear for their suffering, a grimace for hers.
for further inspiration, if you draw that, i'll get it tatooed on my back (if you send me the drawing and whatnot.... email me.)
and maybe even pay you for it...

A blue button that says not "Answer Question" but "Answer to All of Your Questions" - when you press it, you get the answer. There could be a line of people stretching into infinity waiting to press that button.
