Unfortunately I have to say yes. I do not believe the Iraqi police force will ever have enough power to control the problems there. The US has entered another disaster by trying to police the world. We will never be able to leave. But I pray I am wrong.

It is possible we will be their for a long time.... I would like to refute the simpletons that says we are there for just the oil we could have done that in Gulf war 1 and why exactly were we in Korea,Bosnia, and Vietnam must have been the oil right?

People need to open their eyes and stop the whining after the last big war guess what we still have troops in many nations like Japan,Germany,Italy,Bosnia, South Korea, Kuwait, UAE, and many other countries to help stabilize them and to keep the problem from reoccurring. A lot of people need to read more history because it did not begin the day you were born.

The short answer is yes. There will be an American presence in Iraq for as long as there is going to be oil in that country.

It makes no difference if there is armed resistance or not, we will be there to protect and defend the oil. Which was the only reason we went in to the country in the first place.

cafpuller knows her stuff. We went into iraq because it has oil and because it is a strategic position to place troops in. This will greatly aid both the neo-con's and the new world order's desire to have a one-world government. They need to control that region for resources. Lets face it. Imperialism is sponspored by corporations. Both corporations and imperialism need fuel to grow...
