In a way it does, but I believe a lot of the things I've consumed will probably get absorbed-- or try to be absorbed-- by my body (been a while since I studied the digestive system)... However, there is the case where I ate a quarter when I was a kid, but I know where that quarter went... The human body is an amazing thing and still it's shrouded in mystery and almost magic.
As for the mind, yes. If someone puts in garbage and doesn't have the mind to see that it is bad and still processes it, garbage will come out...
