Rome final between Nadal and Federer ranks number1 on most sites...but wasn't that enjoyable to me!

Definite 2nd: Agassi vs Bagh

In women's tennis the Australian Open Semi between Henin-Hardenne and Sharapova, as well as the Henin-Maures Wimbly final ranks top to me.

Another match that stands out for me is the Aussie open quarter final between Clijsters and Hingis.

Rafael Nadal vs. Roger Federer's rome final: Nadal beat Federer 6-7, 7-6, 6-4, 2-6, 7-6. The match lasted over 5 hrs as Federer looked like he was going to win when he was up 4-1 in the fifth, but Nadal fist-pumped his way back.

In his swan-song tournament, Agassi defeated a cramping Marcos Baghdatis 6-4, 6-4, 3-6, 5-7, 7-5 in three hours and 49 minutes of daring, gutsy late night tennis at the U.S. Open. This second round victory was the American's legend's last victory.

It depends on what type of match u wanna see..whether u like a one sided match , which completely showcases one player's ability , or , a on-the-edge-of-your-seat type match.I think the best match was the Rome Masters final .Rafael Nadal(world no.2 ) defeated Roger Federer (no.1) in 5 hrs 6 minutes 6-7(0-7),7-6(7-5),6-4,2-6,7-6(7-5).But my fave was the Wimbledon final. Why?Cause Federer won !

James Blake vs. Andy Roddick Indianapolis

4-6 6-4 7-6(5)

If anything, it was a close match. BUt Blake really proved in this one that he deserved to be the top american player. (At that time, he was ranked higher than roddick) Many people considered Blake a fluke this year, and Roddick deserved the number one spot. But he proved that he could hang with roddick which really showed me something about his determination.

Same as Anirudh, the Aggs/Bags US Open match. Close, competive 5 setters with tie breakers make compelling matches to begin with, but then you add in the retirement drama, Bags cramping, etc... what more could you ask for?

nadal and federer in the french open final, bc it was the two most dominant players the sport has ever seen, and rolland garros is the only place where roger federer has ever been seeen as human...and when its a nadal federer, its really power vs. finesse, and their matches are also of the highest quality to watch.
