Yes, there is a big difference. A ghost is a haunting - a memory of an event that happened in a specific place. A demon is an evil being, not tied to a certain place. A poltergeist is a concentration of energy, usually tied to a youth going through adolescence and dealing with the emotions tied into that right of passage. It is not, therefore, inherently evil. Only a demon is evil.

my understanding is that a ghost is like the spirit of someone who has passed away and that a poltergeist is actually some sort of telekinetic energy sent out by (usually) a young child which causes disruption in the house. as far as i know demon's as such are the evil doers of any given religion or else make believe.I suppose that if you believe in God, Jesus and Satan etc then Satan could be classified as a demon.
hope this helps

From the behaviorist attitude; no they're all imaginary. From the non secular attitude; sure. A ghost/poltergeist is what they call a lifeless individual supposedly walking around, a demon is defined as a servant of evil.

Yes there are big diffrences between all of them.Demons are real because it states it through out the bible.Demons are the devils' workers.Ghosts im unsure about. And poltergiests' I beileve the dead can't harm the living because they are not with us physically so how can they hurt you??Exactly.

A ghost is an alleged non-corporeal manifestation of a dead person (or, rarely, an animal or vehicle).

A demon is a supernatural being that has generally been described as a malevolent spirit, or daemon and djinn.

I think a poltergiest is a supernatural being that can hurt or harm the living.(But i personally dont beileve the dead can hurt you)

Yes. They are each judgements based on unlikely assumptions.

Ghosts are called such based on the assumption that they're dead people and not some other kind of spiritual phenomenon.

Demons are so called based on the opposite assumption- that phenomenon witnessed is caused by evil spirits or fallen angels.
