I've been to Atlanta numerous times. That's either a malicious rumor or someone's pulling your leg and having fun with your ignorance. Don't believe everything you hear.
I've heard that same story, but the city is usually either Boston or NY or LA. You could actually say that about any major city in the US and someone would believe it. That kinda stuff's only in the movies.

I've never been pulled over in Atlanta. Just don't give the cops a reason to pull you over and you'll be fine. I've never heard of them "planting" drugs in anyone's car and I've lived in GA for 15 years. Why would they do that to an innocent person? All the jails here are overcrowded, the cops are overworked and an arrest for any reason gives them more paperwork and reports to fill out, the court system is overcrowded, I doubt seriously any drug planting is going on. You were misinformed.

Urban legend, I suspect. I lived just south of Atlanta for 5 long years.
Traffic is horrible and there are too many people. Of course, I am a country girl. I did enjoy going to Braves games, and there are lots of good eats there. If you're going, see the CNN center and the Coke place downtown and the Botanical Garden and Fox Theater.

I've been to Atlanta several times and never had a problem. I guess it all depends on how you carry yourself. Drive around giving the cops a reason to pull you over and you'll probably get pulled over anywhere---not just Atlanta.

I have been there and its about a 60:1 black to white ratio's so just be prepared for that..(Not that theres anything wrong with black people) but some of them are kind rude..like when I was there I went to get in the motel swimming pool and one of the black people said "I aint swimming in this nasty water cuz you so nasty" and they got out...so just be ready for that..as far as the car pullover things that didnt happen to me.

I don't know about the police, but if you're ever in the Atlanta airport, don't plan to get out. It's impossible, unless you fly out.
