Is it me, or is it prime season for new episodes? The next new episode isn't until Jan 11.

They're showing repeats so the actors can have Christmas holiday, current episodes will resume Jan. 4, I believe.

They show repeats during the holidays so special programming and special sports shows can run without interferring with the show...
It has nothing to do with actors getting down time to spend with their families because they shoot so far in advance. They are usually finished with the season a few months before the season finale airs.

It is just because of the holidays they are doing that to all shows like one tree hill is all repeats right now and do you no that grays anatomy swiched to thursdays insted of ssundays because the backed up desprate housewifes
