I know this country had public hangings a long time ago, so whats wrong with bringing it back to america and saving that 40 grand a year on just one single prisoner. I say hang em high again!

I agree we should have a stronger death penalty people do the most horrible things and so many repeat offenders ........like pedophiles . Is there really a use for them in society? I agree hang em high or let em fry

No. We need to end the death penalty. It does not work as a deterrent at all, and it's more costly then life in prison. And the Drug isn't the expensive part, that's actually quite cheap. The money is all in the appeals that are mandatory in death penalty cases but not in prison. You're automatically granted an appeal with a death penalty case, but not automatically if sentenced to life in prison.
