If the dvds are region 1, they yes, they should work(I'm pretty sure Region 1 dvds are for dvd players in the USA. Check up on that just to be sure.

No they won't dsepends what region her dvd player is set for we in the UK or Scotland are set up for region 2 and in the USA it's a different region so u should have checked to see wot region her's is b4 u sent them. It's there to prevent internationally coping oh and by the way some tv are set up to accept both PAL and NTC or wotever it is

usa is region 1, if that is what the dvd's are you're fine. if the dvd's are region 2, 3, 4 etc...there are no guarantees. i've seen converter DVD players for sale but they are not cheap. You may have a multi-format one yourself, that may be why the dvd's play. I have a region 4 dvd that plays on my laptop and in my magnavox here in the states...go figure.

No, because the TV format is different. In Europe PAL is used and in America is NTSC. It has nothing to do with DVD regions.
