I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd child and I'm exhausted. My 1st trimester was text book: morning sickness, fatigue, food adversions, frequent urination, etc. Those symptoms went away around 13 weeks. However, the exhaustion returned about 2-3 weeks ago. My doctor appointment isn't for another week and my quick "google search" was limited. (and I'm to tired to keep looking ~ haha) Any information would be appreciated.

I think this is normal. You need a lot of energy to grow a baby inside of you. That's not an easy process. I'm 17 weeks right now and during my first trimester I never had any morning sickness, nausea fatigue or whatsoever. I didn't feel pregnant at all! However, the last 10 days I've been extremely lazy and sleepy. Every single day I'm taking a few hours nap and I'm having a hard time doing the house work. How I deal with that? I just let myself beign tired and lazy, because I'm a pregnant woman after all :)))

Well, there is only so much that you can read, and it still won't answer every question. Basically what I mean is that, every pregnancy is different, because every person is different. If you are tired, check your diet to make sure you are eating the right foods. Maybe take a nap if you can, half way through the day. You can always use the excuse that you are pregnant. Ha ha. Anyway, good luck, it is very tiring to be pregnant, and the further along you get the harder it is to sleep, but it will all be worth it in the end.

I am not surprised. Your 2nd child means that you are not getting the rest that you did the first time around. Throughout my entire pregnancy (3rd) I suffered on and off with bouts of fatigue. Creating life is hard work for the body don't forget. Just sleep when you can.

Hon, have you had an ultrasound done yet? The most common cause of second trimester extreme fatigue is multiple fetuses.

I'm thinking your iron might be low... That's why I felt so wiped out early on... You might ask if your iron is normal? I take my prenatal vitamin and an iron pill and I've noticed a big change... Good luck!
