I want to become a commercial model, I have the height.. I'm 5'7" ,108lbs, but I'm only 12. I'm in love with fashion. Not like Hollister fashion, but like high fashion. I've told my parents about it, and they've both agreed. I live only about forty miles from San Franciso, and I heard that there are two modeling agencies. I took modeling classes at John Robert Powers, and gone to a few audtions. I'm having professional photos done by one of my Mom's friend. And then I want to send them to the agencies in San Francisco. Also, I have dark brown hair, brown hair, light complexion. I'm a mixed race of Caucasion and Malaysian. Both of my parents are tall. My mom is 5'7 and my dad is 6'1. My doctor told me that my adult height would either be 5'9 or 5'10. That's tall enough for runway/fashion modeling. But I haven't grown ina few months; I think I stopped growing. I got my period when I was ten. Would I be good enough for commercial? Also, I make A's and B's In school.

When I was talking about high fashion, I meant that I wanted to do it when I was older.

ah well to be honest you're only 12. Between the age of 12 to 18 you will at least have 13 different things you want to be..
and yeah it seems a lot of people are saying it's hard making it as a model, maybe that is the case in US.Since you have a malaysian heritage in you, maybe you should try out being a malaysian model...5'7 is good enough to be a model in malaysia.And some malaysian model do make it big and worked with high end fashion line...

Well I dont know about the modeling agencies cuz I live in houston. But gurl you are very pretty. And believ me if you are 5'7 at 12 u r gonna be my height when you turn 14. I'm 14 and about 6'0.I'm mixed with black and white. My daddy is 6'0 and my mama is 5'7. People tell me every day that I look and walk loke a model. They also tell me I look like Lynn from girlfriends. I wanna be a model 2 but I dont know about fashion at all. If you and I do become famous be sure to look me up. Oh and please answer my last Q HOW DO I LOOK.

No, I'm sorry but you should just convince yourself that you're good enough. Accually talk to people that know. And they'll sense that you're not secure and that you were out here asking random people if you're good enough. I can tell if you could really do it you would be at an agency right now and not asking us.
Oh, and in you picture your eyes roll back in your head and I can see up your nose into your brain.

maybe but when you say high fashion do you mean like GUCCI, DIOR, CHANEL,JUICY COUTURE? Because then no because they dont higher kids. But I think if you are going to start modeling then you should start out with Abercrombie,Hollister,Arepostale and stores like that!Hope I helped and good luck with the modeling!

hi! =) i'm 13 and my height is 5.8 and 1/2 and i got my period at october, but people say runway for girls is for 15 -27 years old,
sorry to crush you but its really really very hard to make it in modelling, but commecial modelling would be great for
let me tell you about those agencies:
you get one second to catch the eye of agents because thousands of girls would also like to be models, sometimes your portfolio will just be thrown away without even being looked at,
but i would really like to help you, here is a website about getting models, just take a good look at it =)

I feel that you should go to college, get your degree, specialize in fashion or something similar. Modeling is a dead end career. get your education and be smart and pretty!

yeah i guess but u shouldn't b askin that,cuz we arnt the modeling agency's.you should call 1 of them and ask them.
