There's a few that answered the DARPA "Great Race" where unmanned vehicles must go like 200+ miles along a designated route supplied on CD. Stanford's "Stanley" ended up winning the race averaging over 20 mph, completely unmanned, using only video cameras as sensors. You can find that as a PBS Nova episode.

Yes and there are airplanes that fly themselves a railroad locomotive that drives itself and the scientists are working on a horse that rides itself

The Volvo 240 does this. It's the only one with this feature though, I'm sorry.
