Two ways and you have to do both:

1. Read. Read the type of writing you want to do. Pay attention to what those writers do to make their statements clear.

2. Write. You won't get better if you don't practice! But don't stop at the first draft. Write something, then let it sit for a day or two. Go back and read what you wrote. Ask yourself how you can make it better. Apply some of the things you've seen other writers do, just to try it out. But, most importantly, just keep writing!

Don't believe people who say that you're either a good writer or you're not. Good writers work at it.

Good luck! Believe in yourself!

Definitely! Don't believe people who say that it's some sort of inner talent that if you don't have a first, you'll never have. Yes, some of us do have a head start, and some will always have a bit more eloquence, but everybody can become awesome at writing.

You just need to:

1) Read. The best writers read a lot, and by reading, they get an unconscious lesson in how writers do what they do. Read whatever it is that you like, but read often, read a lot, and take notice. Think about it in a critical way- how does the author get his/her thoughts across? Why do you think they chose to do things this way?

2) Practice. Write, write, and write. Freewrite, write a diary or journal, write a blog, whatever you want, but write often, and get used to putting your thoughts into words on paper. Familiarity helps get things to the point where it becomes second nature.

3) Realize that all good writing is is choices. Nobody is "good at writing" or "bad at writing"- they either make good choices, or bad choices. Good choices help make things clear, make things sound better, make more sense, keep things cohesive, etc., etc.. Once you learn how writing works, you can start to ask yourself at each choice you make whether it will be good.

4) Realize also that all writing goes through editing after being written. Very, very few people actually write something that is gorgeous and perfect right off the bat. People write crud all the time- the difference is that they go back through it, or have someone else do it, and they make changes and fix things to make it polished and gleaming. Your writing, too, can be cleaned up and made great.

Do all those things and read a few books on writing technique to get the basics down in your mind, and then just practice and try to develop your own style!

Good luck!

I'm not exactly the best writer and I sucked real bad in high school. But as I matured and experienced a little more of life I found that my writing/intelect developed and became a little better. I'm not sure how old you are but maybe it will come eventually. Just don't force anything...Write what you feel not what you want to feel.

Writing takes a lot of advance english in stuff like sentence structure, clauses and such. Then it kinda fades into journalism. A person can learn a lot from just grammar and english.

You can certainly learn to improve. Try to find a writers' workshop in your area, or look on your local adult ed (night school) website. If you're still in school, ask a teacher for help.

Maybe. Try taking a creative writing class and learn to unlock your creativity! It's worth a shot.

If you want it enough and try hard enough you can do anything. Practice writing everyday. Creative writing courses are a good idea too.
