It was Brendan McCarthy. He was traded to the Texas Rangers for pitching prospects John Danks and Nick Masset. Freddy Garcia was also traded by the White Sox to the Phillies.

McCarthy is the last pitcher traded and I think it is a very dumb move on their part.
First of all, not many so called 'prospects' really come through and make it to the big leagues. McCarthy was a prospect that pitched and pitched well for the Sox last year. After trading Garcia to make room for him as the 5th starter..they suddenly go back to square one by trading for more "prospects"..
Just think.....isn't that DUMB ?
