would you send them a couple of great blues cd's anyways because you knew they were going through some rough times?? Or might they resent you for it?

A kind gesture that shows you are thinking of someone is never unappreciated and especially when someone is going through a rough time. Send the CDs to your friend and let them know you're thinking about them and that you're there for them if/when they need you. I'm sure they'll be happy to know you are.

I would send the CD's. If I knew someone who was going through tough times, no matter if I knew them well or not, I would most definitely do what I could to brighten their day.

I went through the most hardest times in my life within the last year. Very dark periods. People around me reached out in all ways... some direct, others just being sweet. I appreciated all of it. To have people want to brighten my day was a feeling of support, which I wouldn't have been able to do without.

They're already depressed and you're going to send some blues cds? They need cheering up not something to send them over the edge.

Just ask them if there is anything you can do to help them. If they say no, then just say that you care for them and would like to be there for them (even if it's to just listen) if they change their mind.

Everyone is different on recieving support from others, I think it deoends on how close you are to the person.
