Prevented Nixon from going to Federal Prison and prevented a total collapse in faith of the Federal Government. Helped Betty build a clinic that saved Hollywood and the Rock Music Industry. Kicked Azz on the Football Field in Ann Arbor. Was drawn in an episode of the Simpsons. Not bad for one lifetime.

We had an act of piracy commited in the waters off of Thailand. Some Americans were taken prisoner. Check it out the Mayaquez incident. He sent in the miltiary, they brought them back. A very short, quick decisive victory. He was a good man. That is a lot to be said for anyone.

Well, he hit people with golf balls a lot, fell down stairs, pardoned some people who got caught lying to the public (imagine that! - but at least no intern's got their dresses stained). Spoofing Ford made Chevy Chase famous as a comedian. It actually was Nixon who did the pullout of Vietnam, so basically Ford was just a likeable guy who didn't really do anything, except die.

he saved the country from the embarrassment that may have occurred if nixon had been prosecuted and MADE the country move beyond that terrible episode in our history.
