I am truly blessed to have been able to stay home with my twin Boys. I have had the best 5 years of my life. Now they are in school and things have changed and I don't have as much time with them.
I miss them terribly but I am so THANKFUL to have been able to stay home with them.
Now I am still a homemaker and able to volunteer at their school and our Church.
It is my dream life! I am living it!

Being a homemaker is not boring. How can you get bored when you do all of the grocery shopping, house cleaning, wash all the clothes, clean floor, clean toleits, take kids to doctor, kids to school, cook three meals a day, wash the dishes, kids to sports activities, pamper husband, plan holiday meals, watch little ones at home all day while doing all the above. Does it sound like a homemaker has time to be bored. I do 100% percent of all the above and still run my own business from home. My house is clean 24/7 and no one is ignored or neglected. Homemakers are very important people. Just because a woman works, does not mean she is not a homemaker.

I was a stay at home Mom and Housewife for many years and I considered myself so Blessed. It was the best years of my life. I was involved in local organizations and got together with other moms who had children the same age. It was fulfilling to have a nice meal on the table for my husband when he got home. We were also dairy farmers so there was always something that needed doing. I enjoyed canning our own food and growing our own vegetables. The day came when I needed to find outside employment but by then my kids were older and we were all comfortable with mom being out of the house more. After being employed out of the home for the last 15 years there are days when I dream of the old days and would love to be a homemaker again. Sure were much simpler days back then.

I didn't work when my 3 children were young.....when they all got into school I found a job in the medical field and have worked ever since .....all but 6 months of which I managed to make it thru Thanksgiving, Christmas, and 2 months in Greece, got home and said OK NOW am finding me a job and went back to the same office I had worked 20 years for! I admire the homemakers, they work.....I never ask a woman IF she works but IF she works away from home. I have worked so long I don't know what is here in my kitchen (husb does) lol...I have just always been in high gear so long that I don't know how to slow down now.

I was a homemaker and sometimes it was boring...but I got used to it...took my son out a lot...met some other homemakers and we had play dates. I am now divorced and I work again. I actually like working more then being at home_

I've been both. I find being a homemaker much more stressful than working a day job, but also much more rewarding. Doesn't pay so good though, or it didn't in my case. With the right husband, I'd leave my job behind and do it all over again though.

No being a homemaker is one of the most rewarding jobs there is being at home with the kids watching their first steps, baking cookies, and just being there whenever they get home from school. You are able to be at the school when they have a play, party, go on field trips with them.

if I could afford to be a homemaker, I surely would. I would have to have my own transportation and money. The house would be in fine order, the children (if there were any) would have all of their needs met, and I certainly would meet the needs of my husband the bread maker.

I am a homemaker and I love it. My job is my family, and I am able to do other things too. I work out everyday, volunteer in my daughters classroom everyday, and I'm here for my kids when they need a shoulder to cry on or help with thier homework. I wouldn't change it for anything in the world.
